Instructions: Discussion 2 requires 1 initial post and 2 peer responses.
Introduction: What motivates you to learn in the classroom? This week we are talking about how to get through the barriers we face to engagement and learning. Using the Elaboration Likelihood Model as our guide we know we need to create programs that are based in good arguments and a sound theory of change, relevant to our audience and create lessons our audience is motivated to learn. Motivation is often the hardest hurdle for our work-so this week our discussion is about motivation. So this week we ask: What motivates us in the classroom? How will we motivate our students to learn in our future classrooms?
Discussion Prompts Your initial post must include 2 parts:
- What motivates you as a student to engage and learn in the classroom
- What motivational tactics covered in this lesson do you think will work best in your future classroom.

- Reflect on our power to make positive changes in our community and include actionable examples and strategies educators can employ immediately
