This is the first step on our foundation’s pathway, and it is an important one. Before we can understand how to educate, we need to do some internal work and consider what biases we are carrying into the classroom, and what ones our students are too.

Introduction: Welcome to the program! This week we focused on Bias, ours and the audience. We unpacked bias , what it is, how it gets built in our brains and how it impacts our ability to connect with our audiences.
Prompts: Your first discussion prompt is about where we find bias in the programs we teach, in our curricula. Where do we often find bias in prevention education? Come up with examples of where bias is often hidden in prevention curricula and give evidence.
