As an anti-violence and harm movement, it is time for us to re-imagine the way we approach anti-violence education, and invest more time in training our educators and writing curriculum that will encourage change in our community.

(Image of concentric circles fanning out that decribe different levels of change and influence. It starts with actions we can take personally and then actions I can take to influence others and then ends on change and influence at the government level)
How will we accomplish this? Through a series of online lectures, discussion assignments, group work and recorded zoom sessions where you are presenting. Each lecure module is designed to introduce you to innovative concepts in curriculum development, best practices in breaking through barriers of resistance, and best practices in changing minds from research. You will also learn how to critically analyze your content and presentation style, learn best practices in training and presentation skills and how to keep the conversation going even with the most resisten audiences. Finally you will learn how to critially analyze other peoples presentations and coach them to help up their, and your, training game.
You will be put into training cohoorts to you will have support and guidance from your peers.
At the end of this training participants will be able to…
Respond to audiences’ questions and concerns without shutting down the conversation
Identify & overcome the factors that make audiences resist to workshop content
Implement skills to motivate audiences to learn materials and change behaviors
Design presentations that shift attitudes including tailoring the delivery of those programs for different audiences
Use and modify teaching tools to make training relevant to different audiences
